I am hoping to find an old recipe for Tea Cakes that was very simple and used baking soda and vinegar,(also, er, flour, sugar, an egg, vanilla extract...I need to know the amounts!) The cakes (cookies, actually) were like shortbread and could be iced with tinted ercream. The recipe was printed in the late 60's in one of the ladies magazines. These cookies can be shaped, and are very pretty when iced with pastel frostings, work well for showers, Easter, or other festive occasions, and keep well.
