Ny speeding ticket question?

i got a traffic ticket in july and i plead not guilty and my court date just came in for dec 11th... can i plead guilty and pay the fines before that date? or can i talk to the prosecutor and pay a fine instead of the points? ..P.S i dont have a lawyer! my speeding ticket was on 9A for doing 77 on 50 which is worth 6 points... any ideas abt how much its gonna cost me? thank you
