Is there any relation between the following: Galactic Alignment, Polar Shift, North Star, Processional Equinox?

I was wondering if there was any relationship between the astronomical alignment due to happen during the winter solstice of 2012 (Sun, Galactic Equator, Earth) and perhaps a polar shift. Do any of these have anything to do with the change in the North Star and/or the processional equinox from Pisces to Aquarius? Do one or any of these happen to effect the other?
