Really bad stomach pains?

I am a 17 year old girl and I have been having really bad stomach pains lately. I had my appendix out last year and the pain I feel is somewhat like that pain but I know it can't be my appendix. I get really bloated that my stomach is rock solid. I crawl up in a ball when I get these pains and just lay there. It has been happening for about 5 months. Today I got really sharp pains and then it would go to a regular stomach ache pain, but with both of thoes pains i was really nasues. I got send home from school and all i've had has been ginger ale... does anybody have any answers what this could be?
