Am I under the impression that Sidney Crosby is the next...Adam Oates?

Again, I'm not bearing the first pitchfork damning the name of Sidney Crosby. He is a talented player in his own right. However, until the guy has a 50 (or more) goal season, can we stop comparing him to Wayne Gretzky? Instead, is Crosby more comparable to Adam Oates? After all, Oates was a superbly talented per who wasn't exactly a 50 goal scoring threat.
